Elite Level Skill Development Program

Individual and Small Group Instruction and Coaching
We offer individual instruction or small group (2 - 4 players) instruction that will help you develop your skills and achieve your goals. We'll help you become an elite hockey player!

There are two phases to our player development program; Planning and Implentation. The first phase involves designing a custom program created and based on your specific goals and objectives. The second phase implements the plan.

Phase One: Planning and Assessment
Phase One consists of three elements:
1. Identify and Clarify Goals - Through an initial consultation we'll help you identify your goals and aspirations as a hockey player; whether it's improving your chances of making a travel team, or setting your sights on a future college hockey career.

2. Skills Assessment - We've identified where you want to go as a player, the next step is to determine your current strengths as well as what areas need improvement. We will thoroughly assess your existing abilities in each skill area.

3. Create a Plan - The final step is to create a custom tailored Player Development Plan that addresses methods to develop the set of specific skills and tactics identified.

Phase Two: Implementation
Phase Two consists of on-ice training, fun, challenging and innovative drills, and guidance in the following areas:
1. Quickness Training - All high level players possess quickness. The value of quickness in ice hockey cannot be overstated. Our drills will help you to develop quick hands, quick feet, and a quick mind. Quickness is a natural ability, but it can be enhanced and improved.

2. Skating - Speed, agility, power, balance, creativity, and quickness are improved and developed through innovative, fun, and challenging skating drills. All aspects of player specific skating skills are addressed.

3. Shooting - Power, accuracy, shot selection, creativity, and quickness are improved and developed through innovative, fun, and challenging shooting drills. You'll learn how to select your shots, how to fire the puck with authority, and how to become a finisher and goal scorer.

4. Passing - Accuracy, creativity, mental skills, and quickness are improved and developed through innovative, fun, and challenging passing drills. Puck movement is vital to team offense. You'll become an effective and smart passer and playmaker.

5. Stickhandling - Puck protection, agility, balance, creativity, and quickness are improved and developed through innovative, fun, and challenging stickhandling drills. Stickhandling is an art. We'll help you to develop soft hands that will make you shifty, nifty, and creative.

6. Checking - Angles, agility, power, balance, and quickness are improved and developed through innovative, fun, and challenging checking drills. You'll learn how to properly check, and take a check. Special drills are used to introduce young players new to checking, and power & angle drills are designed to help the experienced checker.

7. Tactics - Offensive and Defensive techniques and tactics are practiced through off-ice chalk talks and on-ice drills. Smart hockey players are the best hockey players!
